The Microsoft company keeps on updating it operating system and every now and then, new version of Microsoft Windows operating system is launched to the market. A lot of problems were encountered with Windows Vista and the Windows 7 operating system certainly offers a new outlook to the whole operating system. Windows 7 is much faster and prettier, but every machine tends to slow down after some periods of prolonged use.

Performance issues arrive from time to time and without proper concern for these issues, you can easily turn your computer into a very slow machine. Fortunately, Windows 7 comes preloaded with a performance troubleshooter that is designed to help you to solve performance issues.

To start performance troubleshooter, you can go to the control panel and select Troubleshooting that can be found under System and Security category. You can also launch this from your start menu by typing trouble in the search bar of the Start menu. Then, you need to click on performance issues and select Advanced. The Apply repairs checkbox will be selected by default and you have to disable this to have full control. Then, you simply have to follow the wizard to clean up startup items and increase performance. Once you are done, simply close troubleshooting and restart your computer to see the difference.
