If when you turn your computer on you can go clean the house then it needs to be worked on. You want to be able to work right away when you start your computer . It is annoying if you have to wait for your computer to boot up. You might even think about buying a new system. While that might be an immediate answer it will not ultimately provide you with a solution unless to take the necessary steps to prevent it from happening again.
Surprisingly it might be your hardware that is the cause of why your computer boots up slowly. Booting the computer loads and initializes the drivers and hardware installed on your computer. It is important that you are sure your drivers are updated. But this may not be that simple a task as you may have to check the manufacturers web sites regularly. If you have older equipment is the more important it is that you check to see if all your drivers are up-to-date. You should also verify that the drivers are for the version of operating system you are currently running.
Today many programs that you install have the option that is automatic that will cause the program to start up when you turn on your computer. This allows the program to check for updates or just be available to you quicker when you need it. But unless the program is one that you use everyday this feature is a waste.

The computer has become a necessity in our lives. We work with it, we socialize through it and we live with it. The reason for this is the fact that the computer is our connection to the “net”. Almost everything in the world today is associated to the internet and the computer. For us to cope up with this cyber evolution, we need to have a fast and healthy computer system.
The software plays a very important role to the computer system. It runs the programs we desire, it maximizes the function of the computer and it protects the system. The software’s that we install depend on the function we want our computer to perform.
With the onset of piracy, even computer software’s are copied and sold. The sad thing about this is that a lot of these software’s destroy the system and no warranty is given to the users. For example, the Premium Windows 7 cracked softwares, the software can run just like the licensed windows 7, but when updates from the net are installed, the whole system shuts down and the only way to fix it is to reformat the whole system. A lot of time wasted and data’s lost.
The most effective and safe software’s that can be installed for a healthy computer are those that are licensed and original. These products passed through quality control before it reached the market. A product that is genuine is a product of quality. Licensed products also have warranty and support contacts which aid users in case of problems which insures users the safety of their computers.

Sometimes, we don’t understand why our computer speed suddenly slows down. We checked for virus and other harmful agents by our protection system but everything is normal and there is no threat present. So we try a reboot but still it’s still running slowly. This is the consequence of streaming the net and making careless downloads from risky sites. Too much data, both intentionally saved and was accidentally saved, in the hard drive decreases the speed of your computer. The term used to describe an overloaded hard disk is fragmentation. It is very important to defragment the hard disk once in a while.
Fragmentation happens when you, save new files, create or delete folders, delete or move them and they become scattered on your hard drive. Over and over this process happens every time you use the computer. As your hard disk becomes more fragmented, windows become slower and slower due to time needed by the system to find required file on hard disk. So, lagging will occur and your schedule fades along with it. To prevent this from happening, Windows has provided the disk defragmentation application in their operating system. It is necessary that every once in a while you must run this application to prevent fragmentation of the hard disk and to ensure a full speed computer.
Disk defragmenter is readily installed to the Windows operating systems. If you are using Windows as the operating system, then you should make it a habit to schedule some time to run this application.

If you can organize the data on your hard drive it is faster for the processor to find it. Microsoft has provided utilities that will help you speed up access to your data. When your hard drive becomes fragmented it will slow down the performance of your system. The computer has to scan and search the hard drive when files are fragmented. The process of finding all the pieces required to open a file or program can take significantly longer than if the program or file is located in one area.
Windows has provided the Disk Defragmenter utility that will consolidate your systems fragmented programs, folders and files. It will take all the pieces that may be scattered over the drive and place them so that they occupy one single area on the drive. When your files are stored neatly in one area and not fragmented then reading, writing and opening will become a faster process.
It is recommended that you run the Disk Defragmenter on a regular basis with once a month being the an optimum interval to run this tool. However, monthly is recommended as maintenance but you should also run the utility if you add a large number of files, you have less that fifteen percent of space left on your hard drive, or you install a new version of Windows or a new software program.
You can find the utility from the Start Menu in System Tools under Accessories in your All Programs folder. Just click on “Analyze” to start the utility.

Many computer users load the system with several files and then wonder why their machine has become slow. When these unnecessary files occupy so much of system space your machine is bound to become slow simply because it is constantly writing onto the hard disk and then displaying a file to you. This will always not just reduce PC speed but make the system overwork. You should preferably not make the system get overworked or overloaded. To ensure this locate files and folders that you have not used in the past 6 months. Most users will be surprised with the number of such files.
Most people have a habit of downloading games, playing them for a few weeks and then downloading another game while completely forgetting about the ones downloaded previously. So, the space is constantly occupied and after a while the drives get full. In such situations the system cannot work at the same speed as it used to when it was brand. When it was brand new, it definitely did not have the files it has today.
Think of ways in which you can manage your data better and allow your system to work better. This can be done by sorting out files and folders as well as various programs installed on your PC. Uninstall programs you are not using. Delete the files you don’t use now. This won’t take too much of your time but definitely improve PC performance to a great extent.
